This is a beautiful lamp. The bare bulb facing downward can be glaring in your eyes, so we purchased a clip-on shade to help us. The one thing that bothered us, we originally found this lamp at LampsUSA because we searched for lamps made in the USA and this was what came up. We expected the lamp to be made in the USA, but it came with a label attached that said Made in China. Of course, since everything is made in China anyway, and it is a very nice well-built quality lamp, we are very happy with it. Maybe next product we can actually get from USA.
