Meet Steve

When founder and owner Steve Brielmaier built his first house in 1994, he made every lighting mistake imaginable.

As he began to correct errors both big and small (and several renovations later) he realized just how many logistical and artistic considerations go into what seems to be a simple do-it-yourself project, in addition to how one decision impacts other critical factors for success.

On his journey to a home he could finally love, Steve thought about how disappointed other well-intentioned homeowners must feel when things don't go as planned, and how overwhelming it is to correct those plans when managing a home renovation or room remodel.

So he decided to do something about it

With an eye for detail, and a penchant for process improvement, Steve created a fail-safe approach to selecting the right lighting fixture the first time, and helped countless homeowners learn the concepts of lighting design.

Soon after, Steve brought his passion and approach online so that you can accomplish designer-grade results with minimal stress or difficulty.

This led to establishing a new online facility and warehouse, from which Steve could serve the country with his new vision of home improvement.

Our most recent relief effort, the LampsUSA Cares Project, began in April 2020 and continues to provide assistance to more than 200 families living in a rural area of the Philippines who are greatly impacted by additional hardship brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
