Maxim Lighting

From practical bathroom lighting, all the way up to the bigwigs of classy artistic lighting, Maxim Lighting defies the bare minimum by offering only the best in their lighting products.

Maxim Lighting’s main specialty lies in traditional and transitional lighting pieces. If you’re looking for a bold, beautiful chandelier that’s a definite eyestopper, check out Maxim’s show rooms. Their traditional lighting pieces are simply stunning, bringing back classic lighting designs reminiscent of older, timeless trends that have faded (but not disappeared) into the background. Maxim brings in influences from old world to European styles, sometimes combining different influences to come up with a unique, classy design.

Transitional lighting, on the other hand, blends the old and the new in a variety of innovative styles that offer customers a precarious mix of timelessness and contemporary functionality. Customers looking for slightly amped up traditional designs will find transitional lighting products to their liking, especially if they are from Maxim Lighting’s far-reaching selections.

Maxim Lighting also provides Energy Star lighting fixtures— products designed to help the average family home save on energy consumption costs. Aside from being environmentally- friendly, these are also practical, affordable choices that help you economize in the long run. Many of Maxim Lighting’s products are certified Energy Star products; simply check that it is specified on the product’s features before making your purchase.

Whether you need chandeliers, flush mounts, wall sconces, vanities, outdoor wall mounts, post mounts or pendants, Maxim Lighting is ready to provide only the best for your home.

Buyer's Guides - Restoration Style Tips
Restoration Style was derived from Charles II after he was restored to the throne of England in 1660. During this period a big richness was noted in English design, architecture and art. Upon his return from the Netherlands and France he and his followers brought with them the latest European styles.

Take a trip back to 1920's Venice with delicate milk glass sconces in your powder room, or the regal elegance of an embellished Victorian crystal chandelier in your staircase or foyer. Bring a taste of medieval Europe to your dining room with a dramatic round iron chandelier. Most Vintage style collections span throughout time including ceiling lights, pendants, sconces, chandeliers and bathroom fixtures, as well as floor lamps and table lamps.

Consider the Use

Reading lamps need a wider shade to provide plenty of light.

Consider the Room - What is the color and style of your room? Will the lamp have a starring role or compliment its surroundings?

Consider the Bulb
Be sure you have 2-3 inch separation from bulb to shade, especially for higher wattage bulbs. Be sure the top opening is wide enough to vent the heat. Compact Fluorescent bulbs are great for most lamps because they burn cooler, but you may need larger harp since CFL's are taller than standard light bulbs.
