This is a beautiful little shade for a very old lamp. The color when the light is off is kale; a true green. However, I use a pink incandescent bulb in the lamp, and it transforms the shade color into a bronzy-rose. It is so soft and different. It’s a bit like having two shades. Really sweet and lovely.

This lampshade is well made and This lamp shade is well made and sized as described. I ordered three of them in different colors. The green one is a little darker than I expected and looks brown when the light is turned on.

This shade includes a Clip-On Fitter for Regular bulbs
The top of this shade is fitted with a `Clip-On` fitter, designed to clip directly onto a regular round light bulb. The lightweight lamp shade is simply suspended above the bulb by the clip which, through spring tension, grips the bulb gently from both sides. No other harp or fitter is needed. This particular type of clip-on fitter is suited to `old-fashioned` medium-base incandescent light bulbs.Typically a regular clip-on fitter is only suited to small lampshades, usually those found on a chandelier or candelabra, or very small lamps.

Measuring an Empire-Shaped Lamp Shade
Empire shades are typically measured with three dimensions:- Top: The diameter of the circle at the top of the shade - measure straight across.
- Bottom: The diameter of the circle at the bottom of the shade - measure straight across.
- Slant Height: The diagonal height/length measured in a straight line from the top edge of the shade to the bottom edge. Empire shades feature straight sides, sloped at an angle, so measure flat against the side.
