Wall Lighting – Shop A Variety Of Lighting Fixtures

Not many people really think about how much they can do when faced with blank, white spaces. However, walls are the perfect canvasses, especially when it comes to decorating your home. Installing wall lights are great ways to add flair and decor to what was previously just space, though it may require a practiced eye at acing simple rules, such as when to use upward lighting as opposed to downward lighting.

You can pull off wall lighting with a variety of lighting fixtures. Wall sconces are common lighting products that are easy to install and provide a simple, underrated elegance to an empty hallway or bare walls. Wall lighting fixtures also include flush mounts and recessed lights. If you want to install wall lights for functionality, LED lights are usually your best bet; they offer a lot of brightness for less on the energy costs.

It’s easy to ace wall lighting as long as you’ve identified your purpose. For instance, if you want to draw attention away from the floor (usually because it’s cluttered, or the carpeting is unflattering), uplighting on the wall is your best option. Uplighting also works if you want to highlight paintings or portraits on the wall. Floor lamps are also good choices for wall lights, though these are usually more for accent lighting purposes than functional. Overhead LED lights are installed for rooms that need the extra lighting, such as kitchens with facilities built close to the walls, though they may also be used to provide decor.
