Bought this lamp because of the style..very attractive and puts out really nice lighting but I didn`t really like the fact its really wasn`t energy efficient[180 watts] so i purchased Phillips Deco LED bulbs [150 lumens] and a foot dimmer switch. I replace the top and the bottom lights with the LEDS lights and left the original middle incandescent along. Now I am burning 3.5 watts each with the LEDS plus the incadescent with the foot dimmer so I knock down the energy output by more than 150 watts without effecting or distorting the color of the light. The downside to this is the Phillips DecoLed bulbs cost $16 each but you save in energy use and never having to replace the bulbs for 22.8 years what they claim. You have to use the Phillips bulb because the other brands of bulb put out to much white light that will not give the same effects of a incandescent lighting.
