Well-built lampshade made from material that has the look and feel of a raw silk. But for the price, it's a perfect lampshade. For a Chinese lamp made from a commissioned Chinese Vase we bought 30 years ago. The original lampshade was destroyed in a move and this, although more expensive than the original due to inflation over 20+ years, it made a lamp we were going to throw away come back to its original beauty. If the size is right, it would grace ane Oriental lamp of the right style for the shade. It's also as white as the lamp's base color and had it been a shade off from the white it was advertised as, it would have been wrong. But this shade is indeed a true white. I won't get to say this again, but buying over Internet and not having the original shade to use for comparison, the salesperson at LampsUSA took the description of tge lamp I gave her (don't know why I didn't send her an MMS of the lamp) was dead-on accurate regarding top width, length on yhe slany and height. She could have not done a more perfect job at choosing the style and size had I been in the store itself. So, please support this family-owned business. They are truly expert at their jobs. I would never hesitate buying from them again.
