Over fifty years ago, Rose Feiss, an immigrant with talent and spirit, began sewing lampshades to occupy her time while her son Murray was serving in the Navy during WWII. What began as an endeavor to pass the time, developed into a cottage industry filling the days of many wives and mothers in The Bronx, NY. After the war, Murray Feiss joined his mother's business and expanded it to include portable lighting. The company moved to larger headquarters, and the business grew. Three generations have nurtured this company and it now stands as a leader with a reputation for impeccable craftsmanship, innovative design and honest value. 

In 2002, the company opened a five and one-half million cubic foot, state of the art distribution center. The company now occupies several square blocks on Rose Feiss Boulevard in the Bronx, renamed by the Mayor of New York in honor of the company¹s matriarch. In 2005, Murray Feiss opened a state-of-the-art 210,000 square foot distribution center in Las Vegas to better serve our customers. 

With pride in the past and commitment to the future, Feiss has expanded its extensive, copyrighted line of products to include grand chandeliers, casual fixtures, vanity bath lights with coordinated bath hardware, outdoor lighting, lamps, torchieres, wall brackets, and decorative accessories. A talented award winning in-house design team of industrial, graphic and interior designers work with engineers and draftsmen, color forecasters, and quality control experts to guarantee that only the finest materials are used and design integrity is maintained.Whether the fixture calls for solid brass, or the vanity light is completed with alabaster shades, no detail is overlooked. These designs are brought to life in our own factories overseas, where over 3,500 skilled professionals manufacture our exclusive product. Every product is meticulously finished and quality tested, not once but twice by an independent team of engineers. We are proud to be the exclusive manufacturer of Bob Mackie Home, a name synonymous with glamour and style. 

Murray Feiss Import LLC and Sea Gull Lighting Products Inc. have recently merged to create one of the largest privately held lighting companies in the industry by partnering with Quad-C Management, Inc., a private equity investment firm based in Charlottesville, VA. The firms have joined to create the holding company Quality Home Brands®.
