Well built, better than I expected. Purchased base unit for use on table top. 45" extension is very useful. recommended.

Solid...all metal, well made, and durable. I was looking for this lamp for a long time, as they don't seem as popular anymore and have become scarce...this style, although not as high tech as some of the newer designs is a GREAT LAMP. Versitile, rugged, huge extension/reach, and throws out ample light. You can't go wrong with this 'classic' !!! I've yet to find anything better.
