My mother loved the brass lamps I bought for her birthday. She proudly displays them in her living room and switches them on when she has visitors. I too appreciate the nice effect that the antique brass finish creates with the old-fashioned fireplace mantel and the other pieces of décor in the room. I can say that this is one birthday present that my mother appreciated, given that she is hard to please. I’m glad I picked this for her.

Processing and delivery of my order was excellent, much faster than I expected. The lamps arrived well packed, but with no harps to support the shades. When I called to report missing pieces, customer service was courteous and the parts were shipped immediately. Good marks for service. Comparison of actual product to computer image was not so excellent. A) the brass lamps were not actually brass, and not even brass-finished metal; they were a type of plaster or ceramic, but heavy and serviceable. B) Probably due to the camera lighting, the images were MUCH lighter and brighter -- the actual shades were dark tannish gold color NOT the light beige or champagne color they appeared, and the lamp bases were more black with brass color highlights, rather than antique brass color with dark shading. However, they are a good classic style and attractive, just not exactly as I expected when compared to the photo. Assembly was easy and after pricing lamps elsewhere, the product is a good value for an economical price. Just recently, it seems the 3 way bulbs are blowing out too quickly, but I am not sure yet if this is due to bulb defects or if the problem lies in the 3-way sockets. Time will tell, but I hope to determine this soon as I would not be happy if defective parts caused a short and caught my home on fire. I just recently replaced sockets on two lamps I loved for 27 years, and will continue to use. Newly manufactured parts don't hold up as well as the old ones. Barbara Hicks

beautiful improvement to home decorating. indeed a touch of class. they are more elegant than the pictures,and makes a big difference in the room.The price just suited my budget. no regret on this purchase
