Flush mount lightings and
semi flush lightings are two types of lightings mounted
on ceilings. Flush mount lightings are usually installed
in foyers, hallways bedrooms or rooms with low ceilings.
Flush mount lightings are fixed to the ceiling while semi
flush lightings leave some space between the exterior of
the fitting and the ceiling. Flush mount lightings can be
used indoors as well as outdoors depending on your décor
and design requirements.
Cleaning, maintaining and installing bulbs
in flush mount lighting are an easy process. It usually
requires one to:
Unscrew the center
bolt.
Remove the bowl and
clean or install bulbs.
Restore bowl and screw
it back in position
Ideally, low wattage bulbs are used in
flush mount lightings because otherwise the fixture could
get heated in the closed environs. Incase, flush mount
lightings are used outdoors, a fixture every 8-10 feet
of distance is required to light any hallway.
